Looks like today is the day...

I can spill my excitement! Check it out here: Pink Paislee blog! I am just so thrilled to be asked to join the team for this new manufacturing company..I finally feel as if I'm getting somewhere in the world of "art"... if you know what I mean? It's really a dream come true for me. And I just adore these products so much that Rebecca and Holly have created! What an honor to join these talented ladies....

I wanted to share a few things that I made with Pink Paislee papers and die cuts from the next kit over at Create My Keepsake. There will actually be 2 Pink Paislee kits available on March 1st, this one is the Spring Fling line of papers! This project is a little wooden dream sign that I altered with the papers. I added a wire to hold my photo in the back. This is Kati when she was born..don't ya just wanna kiss those chubby cheeks? She is now 2 1/2 and they are still chubby. lol

I can't remember where I picked up this frame, I think maybe it was the Christmas Tree Shop, but it's been sitting in my closet waiting to be altered...and I finally found the perfect papers for it. I love the edges on this Pink Paislee paper, so I filled three spots with the paper and added a photo of my girls. The flowers and die cuts are added on top of the frame.

And last, but not least, this little butterfly was made with the Jenni Bowlin labels that came in the kit! I added a Pink Paislee die cut for the body and cut the antennas from the paper as well. Can you tell I'm longing for Spring?

Well.. that is about all I have for today! We keep getting more and more snow, and keep having more and more snow days. At this rate, the kids will have to go to school all summer! lol Have a wonderful day! ~Danielle~

Can't get enough..

stitching lately! Is there a technique you are totally addicted to right now? Thanks to my good friend, Davinie for all the stitching inspiration!

For this card, I used the negative of my die cut sheet from Fancy Pants and traced the wing shapes onto my paper, then stitched around the pencil lines. Next, I adhered some swirl rub ons for the inside of the wings from Tinkering Ink (Floral Frippery rub ons). I used a bottle of clear glue with a fine point on it to cover the little swirl rub ons, then sprinkled fine glitter over the top and let dry.
(Will be in Paper Trends Aug/Sept 2008 issue.)

This was done for the "inspiration of the week" over at Create My Keepsake, come on over and visit us! Such talented people there, I tell ya. Lots of inspiration always!

Longing for spring!

Boy, am I ready for spring to arrive. Today as Kati and I went to the grocery store, chunks of ice were melting off the trees from our ice storm the other day, and it was almost like it was hailing out! So weird. Our driveway is still a very thick sheet of ice. I just can't wait for the fresh, warm breezes, birds chirping, flowers blooming, opportunity for photos again (of course!)...and well..all of it. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons.

Speaking of spring, here are the cards I promised. Love these fresh colors! These are from Treasured Scrapbooking's Feb. card kit featuring Fancy Pants "Botanical" papers. I believe there are only 2 left, so if you really, really want one, snag it soon here!

The Sweet Spring to U card below was made for the new on-line Bella Magazine. It's a hybrid card made with the Spring Sherbet kit from Jennifer Layden of Jennilyn Designs and Holley VanDenBerg. I enlarged a digital element from the kit (flower), changed it to white, added the pink background and word "sweet" from the digital kit, and then printed it out on a piece of white cardstock and folded for the card base. I cut around the flower shape with scalloped scissors. Added American Crafts pink foam letters and rub on letters, Making Memories ribbon, and a button. The butterfly was a digital element as well and was printed out and added for extra dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a nice weekend! ~Danielle~
