Love me some pink!

Pink must be the hot color for Christmas this year. I've been working with the Tinsel Town collection by Pink Paislee and fell in LOVE with the color combo in it! Here is a little sneak to a class that I created for Pink Paislee with this new Christmas line!

The class consists of 4 Christmas cards and a couple of ornaments/gift ideas and is going to be held in Houston, TX at By Design Scrapbook Boutique on December 5th & 6th. It will be hosted by the owner of Pink Paislee, Rebecca Cross! If you live near the area, be sure to check it out! If you'd like more information, please contact Rebecca at info@pinkpaislee.com.

Speaking of Pink Paislee, you will have to stop by and see the new look for the site at www.pinkpaislee.com! New things to see include "pink projects" that you will be able to download for free with instructions, a slide show of inspirational projects, information on the design team and more!

I'm so in the mood for Christmas already, even though Halloween just ended. I love creating Christmas projects. I found this wooden clip at the craft store and altered it with some Melissa Frances goodies: paper is Nancy and Paige, rub on saying FW019, small sticker in frame PP07, resin frame, reindeer from Christmas chipboard, white and silver glitter. Pom pom trim is Wrights, twine is Darice and bow is My Moments by Offray. I thought this would be cute in Taylor's room for the holidays. (Picture is of her from last year on Christmas eve oogling the gifts..lol)
I added glitter to the reindeer chipboard to make it sparkly and a bit of glitter inside the frame as well.

Now I can't wait to put up my Christmas decorations! ha If you have any Christmas projects you've been working on, link me up! OH, and I found a great recipe site for those holiday treats... HERE!

It's November!

My goodness, where does the time go? 2008 is almost over! Yesterday my first born turned 9! I can't believe she is 9 already. They grow up so fast. Seems like just yesterday we were in preschool. I was teaching there and taking her with me, and she loved every minute of playing, exploring and learning with the other little ones!

Yesterday we went galactic bowling for Taylor's party. They turned down the lights, had a disco ball going and dance music...very fun! Of course, they had to get tokens for the arcade too....

I didn't get very many good photos, it's so hard to take pics in the dark bowling alley!

I created a card last night for the next challenge, which will be up at Card-a-licious today! The challenge this week is to create a "give thanks" card! Here is what I came up with.
I used a Basic Grey album to trace the shape onto Mairzy Doats - Just Jazzy paper (Tracy Whitney Designs by Dream Street). The large chipboard T is some Tim Holtz Grungeboard that I painted tan and ran over the embossed swirls with a brown ink pad. Added some Fancy Pants rub on flowers, a K& Co. journaling spot, American Crafts rub on letters (give) and some Pink Paislee Fashion Script letters for "thanks" in green.
The inside paper is Wonderland - Holly Berry (Dana Miron Designs) by Dream Street.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Halloween!

Sorry I've been a little MIA this week with my blogging! It's been such a crazy time for me with Halloween and Taylor's birthday tomorrow. I can't believe she is almost 9! I've also been working on some scrappy stuff this week that I'll share soon!

Hope you had a happy and safe trick-or-treating time last night! Thought I'd pop in and just share some photos with you. Taylor and Kati are working on scooping out the pumpkins here last weekend. Taylor loves doing this every year, but it was Kati's first time and she didn't care for the smell of the inside of the pumpkins. ha She kept saying, "EWWW!"
This was my first time actually carving a design...like a cool design, not just eyes and a nose..ha My hubby did the bat and I did the spider! Which one do you like.. spider? YES, I thought so! ha (He says I'm too competitive.)On Thursday evening, Taylor and I made treats for her class to celebrate her birthday on Friday at school. I saw these uber cute mini caramel apples from a video that Melissa posted on her blog and had to give it a try! The super creative Alisa Bangerter showed some very cool ideas for Halloween treats. They were really easy to make and fun! Taylor's class LOVED them! Here is the video!
Next are some pics from Halloween last night. Kati couldn't decide what she wanted to be yesterday and kept changing her mind! She started out as a witch, which is what I thought she was going to be and then she decided to wear the princess crown instead, so I got pics of both! tee hee!
Taylor wanted to be something scary this year, so she chose to be a vampire. We did a trial run a few nights back with the make up and scared Kati half to death with the fake blood! Poor thing cried! So no fake blood this time.. and the vampire teeth didn't really work with the braces too well....
Here is Taylor giving her scary face...
I have to laugh because this is SO her!
Off down the driveway..she was SO excited!
I'll be back soon with some scrappy things!
