Valentine inspiration...

How about some Valentine ideas today? The big day is coming up soon! I love to browse the internet to get ideas and thought I'd share some my favorites I found today. These are mostly from Better Homes and Gardens.

I love these little puffed heart lemon cookies in the clear bags, how cute would they be for teachers with a little thank you note for them? It's always nice to feel appreciated!

Next are these gorgeous little stitched pillows! I would love to make some of these! The toile fabric is perfect!

These are little votive candle jars filled with goodies and a cupcake wrapper tied on top. What a cute and inexpensive idea.
Pretty little tins with glass handles. Love 'em.
Yummy red velvet cakes sprinkled with powdered sugar. Put all those stencils to use!
Record deal...a fun way to dress up a package with a vintage love song and a photo in the center of the record.
Create little toppers with wire, beads and a heart punch.
A quick, easy card made with punches! Simple but effective at the same time.
How cute are these lemon rose cookies all tied up with licorice!
A clever card made with vellum - love those little pockets!
Don't leave me hangin...or "dropping you a line"...fun little card.
A mod Valentine card made with circles...
And lastly, I may have to try these cones with secret messages inside! Some little meringue cookies and chocolate seal the notes inside the cone. How clever!

Timeless romance...

This month Tattered Angels is having an exchange with Webster's Pages. Here is what I came up with!

When I started this first page, I really wanted to use the new embossed chipboard heart by Tattered Angels. So that was the basis for my inspiration on this page. I turned it over and misted over the backside of it onto white cardstock with Candlestick Glimmer Mist to form the hearts on the left, and then misted the front of the chipboard heart with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist. The same color was used on the chipboard swirl (Candlestick). I used Olive Vine on the chipboard leaves. I love how these are embossed with a resist!

These are pictures of my daughter when she was 2. She loved her little coupe car! I used Sweet As Cherry Pie-Set the Table paper and Mom's Ingredients paper by Webster's Pages.____________________
Next up is a card made with Sweet As Cherry Pie-Little Nibbles paper and Postcards From Paris - La Boutique De Jardin paper by Webster's. Again I used one of the Tattered Angels new embossed chipboard and sprayed it with Candy Apple Red. I should have sprayed the leaves first with green, but forgot, so I tried to spray the Olive Green over the top of the leaves/red and it turned out to be a maroon-ish color.
The stamps are from the new Timeless Romance Set by Tattered Angels. I curved the "Be My Valentine" stamp on the clear block, so that I could stamp around the circle. It worked out well!

My last project is another card with the Timeless Romance stamps. Can you tell these are my favorite? I stamped the heart onto white cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I sprayed a new Glimmer Mist called Silver Sugar over the top and wiped the embossed part with a paper towel. Then cut it out and added it to my card. The "love", the line at the bottom and the XOXO circle are also part of this stamp set.
The papers I used here are Nature's Storybook: Soar Blue Skies and Postcards from Paris: Belle Rose. You should definitely get this Timeless Romance stamp set! It can be used so many different ways. I wished I had more time to play with it when working on my projects...I had many more ideas. Thanks so much for reading today. Hope you enjoyed these projects!

Heart - felt...

Just a couple of quick cards to share here, and I'm off to my scrap "desk" to create some more tonight. I haven't had much scrap time this week, so I have lots of assignments started and patiently waiting for my return! :)

Did you know Jenni Bowlin has crepe paper ribbons? They are so cute and come in many colors. Here on this card, I wrapped the journaling card like you would a present and then added a cute button and rub on over the top. Quick and simple!

The second card is all JB products as well! I cut a bingo card and tucked it in the heart. One thing I love about the crepe paper is that you can kind of shape it any way you like!

Well, that's it for me today. I'll be back soon! Enjoy your weekend!
XOXO,
Danielle
