Timeless treasures..

I think what I love most about shabby, warm things is that they are so timeless in their appeal...you can use them year after year and not grow tired of them! Here I've created a holiday wreath with bottle brush trees and crepe paper, new items - but worn and cozy...
Everything is from Melissa Frances here, including the crepe paper, bottle brush trees, pearls, chipboard snowflake, tinsel. The button and twine are from my stash, and I used an 8" styrofoam wreath from the craft store for the base. I've created a little explanation on how I created the wreath for you. Enjoy!

(Oops, I said the crepe paper was 9" x 42", but it is actually 9" x 49" for each color.)

And this is a little jingle bell, actually a large jingle bell, that I found on clearance last year after the holidays for really cheap! It was an ugly gold color, so I painted it silver with acrylic paints - it took 2 coats - and then added some Diamond Dust for the snow, a crepe paper bow and chipboard holly/pearl. I added a rub on saying over the top, which went on really smooth! Think I might make more of these for gifts.
Are you creating any holiday gifts this year? I'd love to see what you are making, so send me a link! Hope you enjoyed the video, and let me know if you have any questions,

Such beautiful christmas items.
Especially love how you transformed the big jingle bell--not very fond of the gold ones either--but this one is gorgeous!!!!

WOW! That wreath is seriously SO beautiful. I was watching your video and thinking "Oh my gosh, why didn't I think of that?" LOL. Although, if I make it, I just know it won't turn out as pretty as yours. Oh and you have the sweetest voice! ;)

I love this. I would like to apply this technique in to making custom canvas prints. I am thinking of applying glitter and lights to my prints.

This technique would also work really well with Photos on canvas and these shouldn't be forgotten about
