Warm and cozy...

It's almost time for Thanksgiving...what do you have planned? We are staying home and hosting Thanksgiving here for family...it will be a nice, relaxing day~ maybe play cards after dinner, like we do, with full bellies. ha

I created these little boxes that could be used for place settings at Thanksgiving or just small gifts to give to those who come. They are very easy, and my daughter began to make some of these for her teachers filled with a yummy treat.
Papers, rub ons, and chipboard are Dream Street's Sam collection. I used a couple of resin pieces by Melissa Frances, some Offray and Fancy Pants ribbon and a Prima flower. I was inspired by these cute boxes...visit the link for a how-to. Such a fun, inspiring blog!

Since Thanksgiving is on its way, I begin to think more about home and family and how lucky I am. I thought I'd share a few pics of some of my favorite places, things in my home...

The entry way here...just hung those shelves and pics recently (and we've been here 5 years now)! :)
My favorite pillow on the entryway bench...
Dining room...actually it's an eat-in kitchen, I guess you would call it...
The mantle...
Part of the living room... see the little computer behind the sofa? That's where I sit when I surf the net...
Another shot... I love having it here in the living room, so I can still be close to family and everything that's going on. When I'm done, just close it up and nobody really knows it's there. People look at me funny when I say my computer is in the living room. lol
Well, I've been in the holiday mood (actually more for Christmas than Thanksgiving!), so I have lots to show you soon of some vintage-y, Christmas-y, snowy projects to get you in the mood for Christmas too!

P.S. Please visit the Melissa Frances blog for a "Thankful" give-away! One lucky blog reader will receive $250 free products, so head on over there and leave a comment, quick!
