gone haunting...

Speaking of Halloween, I have a couple more cards to share with you. I was so excited when I received an email from Nora Griffin asking me to share some cards with them over at Cartwheels in My Mind! I met Nora when I went to the Reflections retreat in California and she was super sweet! Not to mention a talented card maker, sharing her abilities at the carnival we had one night for the attendees. Her make-n-take table was full!

The first card was made with 2 little Jenni Bowlin die cut papers. I sewed them together at the side to create a card base. The feltie is called a "DooDad" (cute name!) and is from the Hocus Pocus line by Pink Paislee. I love the look of vellum these days, so I created my own sentiment, using black and gray text and mixing up the fonts. Keisha Campbell really inspires me with the way she uses vellum! I think vellum is quickly making a come-back in popularity because of her! I hope you didn't throw out all your vellum. :) Glue Arts has a terrific vellum adhesive if you are looking for one.

The next card was also created with Hocus Pocus papers, stickers and a metal badge by Pink Paislee. The polkdot paper reminded me of sprinkles and parties. Taylor's birthday is 2 days after Halloween, so sometimes we do a Halloween themed party! She loves it and the kids get to wear their costumes more than just Halloween! I need to get thinking about her party.

I'll be back with more treats (not tricks) to show you tomorrow. :)
