Congratulations! Can't wait to see you there, Evelin! Thanks to everyone for stopping by.
Yesterday was another "Take 5 Friday" on the Pink Paislee blog, which means I was challenged to use 5 Pink Paislee products in my design. This month we are working with the Hocus Pocus line, but instead of using the papers for a Halloween project, I used them on a couple of Christmas cards! The greens, blues and purples in this line are lovely colors that can be used for Christmas/winter projects as well, not just Halloween!
On the JOY card, I used the Hocus Pocus – Hocus Pocus paper (blue), Hocus Pocus – Spider’s Lair paper (brown), Sweetness – Love Letters paper (background), Hocus Pocus – Good Fortune paper (snowflake) and the cardstock sticker letters from the Hocus Pocus Collection Craft Kit. I punched a snowflake out of the blue paper to let the background paper show through. For the dimensional snowflake, I punched 2 snowflakes and layered them together, then added some glitter over the top and a button from my stash.
The Merry card is just white cardstock that I punched some snowflakes out of. This was REALLY quick and easy. If I had to make a stack of cards for the holidays, this would be a technique I could do for a quick design! I adhered sticker letters to spell “Merry”, some glitter, ribbon and another dimensional snowflake.
The twine is from Studio Calico and the glitter is called Diamond Dust (from AC Moore). I used wet glue and applied it with my finger in several places, then poured the glitter over the top. The snowflake punch is Martha Stewarts' Himalayan Snowflake that I got here. The little vines would be cute on a card as well, those are here. I hope this inspires you to get crafty with your papers that aren't necessarily for Christmas!
