This week over at Glue Arts, we received some
HERO ARTS stamps to play with! I loved them, especially the sayings:
Big Hugs 4x6 set.
I made a layout which all began with this big chipboard heart by Cosmo Cricket (from their Blackboard mini album). Then I added other bits and pieces from my stash. It felt really good to use up some of my older stuff. I haven't taken many pictures of my girls lately, so the other night when they were sitting together in the chair, I quick grabbed my camera! They were holding hands (in the first pic)...so, so cute. I love that they are getting so close! I am going to add lots of journaling on the back. New photos always inspire me!
Then I made some stamped vellum pockets! I love the look of glassine envelopes, so I tried to make my own out of vellum. I cut an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of vellum in half and made 2 pockets from one sheet.
I can't wait to play with these stamps more. As a card maker, I always love new sayings to add to my cards, so I was delighted to get these. Thank you, Hero Arts! You can view the directions and supply lists for these on the

Ooh, I love creating my own envelopes, but haven't thought of using vellum for that - will have to try straight away!! :D The layout is stunning, love the design of it!
