trick or treat, be so sweet...

...give me something good to eat! Today is Sketch Sunday over at the Pink Paislee blog and we were assigned to use the new Hocus Pocus line this month. I found these kraft cards and envelopes in my stash by Worldwin (they are called Crafty Creations) and thought I could stuff them with treats and make little treat pockets out of them! I used some card sketches to go by when creating my pockets. You can see the sketches over at the Pink Paislee blog.
The boo pocket was created with a kraft envelope turned sideways. I sprinkled a bit of white paint on it, added a felt DooDad and some stickers, filled with treats and tied closed with twine!
Next is the "Creepy" pocket… I used a kraft card by Worldwin and just sewed the left and right edges closed to create the pocket. Here I’ve added a canvas border, another felt Doodad and some stickers, all from the Hocus Pocus line. One trick to the canvas borders....you can peel off the stickiness from the back of them and then rough up the edges for a shabby look! I love the look of the strings hanging off.
Last is the "Spider" pocket. I used a kraft envelope here with a Metal Badge and tied twine around the badge to hold it closed after filling it with treats! The top is covered with black cardstock sprinkled with white paint, a canvas border and a star sticker border, again all from the Hocus Pocus line.
You can make a bunch of these very inexpensively just by using envelopes and card bases as the pockets! If you don't celebrate Halloween, you could definitely make these for other occasions as well. Thanks for reading today!
