Make It Market kit: Beautiful Brushstrokes...

Papertrey Ink has another card kit coming soon to you! This one is my FAVORITE so far. It's beyond gorgeous. Betsy has really outdone herself with these stamps, I especially love the fonts. If you follow current stationery trends, you'll see that the fonts are really fun and playful, yet elegant at the same time...almost calligraphy in style. And this kit is spot on with this trend. I love, love, love it, and hope to see more of this look with Papertrey Ink!! I made 6 cards with the kit. (Well, actually 7, but I can't decide if I like the last one or not. Maybe I'll post it later on.) Here we go...

On the first card, I used the watercolor paper in the kit to die cut the large flower and stamped it with Hibiscus Burst ink with the Pure Poppy lines over the top. I used a stamp from the kit in the background. To make the black leaves as a shadow to the other leaves, I placed strips of the washi tape in the kit over a piece of cardstock and then die cut the leaves with the leaf dies. The washi tape leaves are placed under the other leaves as a shadow effect.

The colored twine is in the kit also. It's variegated with oranges and pinks, and there's another one that is blues and purples!

Hello Framed card:
(All supplies by Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.)
STAMPS: Beautiful Brushstrokes
INK: Hibiscus Burst, Pure Poppy,  Limeade Ice, True Black by PTI
Soft Stone by Hero Arts
PAPER: Watercolor paper in kit
DIES:
Beautiful Brushstrokes
OTHER: Washi tape, twine and rainstones from the kit.
______

On the next card, I stamped the large Summer Sunrise colored rose directly onto the watercolor paper. Then I took a paintbrush and some water and painted the water over the top to create a smoother look to the flower. Using watercolor paper really allows the ink colors to blend! The leaves were dipped in Spring Moss ink and then the Ripe Avocado ink on the edges, then stamped. And I added a little bit of water over the top of those also to blend them in a bit! Do you love the look? Or is it too messy? What do you think?

To add a tiny bit more color to the flower, I used the watercolors (add-on to the kit) to paint a bit of hot pink over the flower. I added water to blend it and dabbed with my paper towel whenever I had too much paint. The label was also die cut from watercolor paper and painted with a blue paint from the watercolor paint palette. When dry, I stamped the frame and the "thanks".

Thanks watercolor card:

OTHER: rainstones in kit and watercolor paints- add-on kit.
______

This one has a little bit of a doodly feel with the black highlights on the flowers. As you can see, you can go more bold with these stamps too. I used the washi tape in the corners of this card.

Happy For You card:
(All supplies by Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.)
STAMPS: Beautiful Brushstrokes
INK: Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, Melon Berry, Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, True Black
PAPER: Vintage Cream

OTHER: Washi tape in kit.
______

On the card below, I stamped and heat embossed the saying in the center with white embossing powder, then painted over the top with watercolors (pinks and oranges).

When dry, the flowers and leaves where stamped with Papertrey Ink stamping inks, and I used water and a brush to blend it.

This is a paper from the Beautiful Brushstrokes paper pad. All I did was stamp "thanks" and add some hemp to the top. The hard work is already done for you with this pretty paper.

With the hemp, I did use a flat iron on it to get the creases out of it and make it a bit more pliable. You can curl the hemp too with the curling iron!

I haven't been around to comment much lately for spring and summer chores have sort of taken over my life, but I had to take a moment to let you know how wonderful each of your cards is. As everyone is writing, they are all gorgeous, but we all know that one usually stands out as a favorite. For me, it is the 'thanks' card. Oh my, it is beautiful with its strong colors yet soft feel. The one that I am most glad you shared, though, is the 'happy for you' card. The look you achieved with the black lines is so cool and shows that those stamps don't have to be lined up perfectly to look incredible. Thanks for sharing, Danielle. Hope you're having a great summer.

They are all lovely creations with the new kit. I love how each one is so unique and yet you used the same kit on each one. I really like it when someone can show versatility like that. Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the kind comment you left for my card for, last weeks MIM. I used your card for my inspiration. So glad you liked it. God bless you.
