Design Team Tips: Snowflake Medallion Gift Toppers...

Hello! Today I have a little post for you on creating pretty snowflake medallions with gold centers (or any color really) to dress up your gift packages. These create SUCH beautiful tags and toppers for the holidays or even for a winter birthday!!

Step 1:
With the Snowflake Medallion die, die cut two of these pieces from white cardstock. Add a strip of gold tape to the flat edge. Score along the score lines that were imprinted in the die cut. (The gold tape I used was from the Luxe Letterpress Make It Market kit.)
You'll have two pieces that look like the top one after they are folded.

Step 2:
Adhere the ends together of the two pieces creating one continuous piece, as shown below.

Some other items were gathered up and die cut as well. I used a Tag Sale #4 die for the tag shape, a pillow box cut from the Essential Pillow Box die, a gold doily from the Luxe Letterpress kit gold doily, a Wonderful Words: Joy die, and some twine.

Step 3:
Press down in the center of the snowflake medallion to create the snowflake and adhere the center directly to the tag. I used a hot glue gun, because it holds the best for me! The gold tape creates a gorgeous center to the snowflake medallions! I added twine to the top of the tag.

Step 4:
Assemble the pillow box.

Step 5:
Wrap the doily around the pillow box and tie with twine.
Step 6:
Hot glue the Joy die cut onto the snowflake and attach tag to the pillow box. You are finished with a beautiful gift box and tag for the holidays or a winter birthday! I love the elegant look and all of the pretty dimension!
