there's an app for that...

Recently, I was asked by Anam Stubbington to do a few cards for her new app called Sketches4Cards, a card version of her Ipad app called Sketches2Scrapbook. The new version of the card app should be coming out soon! The application is designed to allow you to be creative on the go. I can't share the sketches I used here of course, but I can show you some cards I made based off the sketches...
On this one, I stamped the "wishing you a happy birthday" staggered in the background to create a fun backdrop. I used the Mat Stack 1 die by Papertrey Ink to cut out the white cardstock, then stamped the image on top with the matching Mat Stack 1 Stamp Set.
Wishing You a Happy Birthday card:

STAMPS: Mat Stack 1 Collection by Papertrey Ink
INK: Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate by Papertrey Ink
PAPER: kraft and cream cardstock,
Crate Paper- Restoration (woodgrain)
DIES: Turning a New Leaf dies, Mat Stack 1 die by Papertrey Ink
OTHER: Crate Paper stickers - Restoration,
Prima flower, Papertrey Ink twine
-----------------
This next card has more of a collage feel. I layered some Crate Paper stickers, punched stars and die cut leaves, along with a bit of stamping.
I love wrapping twine around things - reminds me of a hug and adds a cozy feel.
    Celebrate card:

STAMPS: Mat Stack 1 Collection by Papertrey Ink
    INK: Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate
PAPER: Crate Paper- Restoration, cream cardstock
    DIES: Turning a New Leaf
OTHER: Crate Paper stickers - Restoration line, Prima flower, Papertrey Ink twine
    ------------------
This one is more shabby with its inked edges, sanding of the patterned paper, and messy stitching.
I had a Favor It Box 3 cut out on my desk, so I cut a piece off of it to make it look like a ticket. I stamped a swirl on it and added a sticker.

Hey You, Hello, Howdy Happy Birthday card:

STAMPS: Mat Stack 1 Collection by Papertrey Ink
INK: Dark Chocolate by Papertrey Ink
(and Antique Linen from my stash around edges)
PAPER: Crate Paper- Restoration, kraft and cream cardstock
DIES: Favor It Box 3 by Papertrey Ink
OTHER: Prima flower, Papertrey Ink twine, ribbon and button.

I hope you'll check out the new sketch apps for your Ipad, Iphone or Ipod Touch when they go live! You get tons of sketches and samples ideas that come with the sketches as well. Coming soon!

You make stamping look so easy and fun, I might just have to do it more myself!! LOL.

        Have a great day!
