all things pink...

It's almost Friday, not sure where the week went, but this summer is just flying by! Would you agree? I haven't had time to go through my beach pictures yet to post a few, so I thought I'd share a couple other crafting things instead. My daughter accidentally deleted our beach photos from my computer, but luckily my husband had put them on his Ipad while we were in Maine, thank goodness!! I'll share soon!

Not too long ago I received the Create: For the Home issue and was thrilled to have this little baby hanger project in there:

I used one of Melissa Frances' wooden hangers that she used to sell, added a rub on saying to it, some of her resin wings and a key hole to the top. Then I just hung little frames from it with photos and patterned papers!
----------------
I have a quick card to share also. I was having fun with my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists one day for an assignment and made this card...

It's a really fun and simple technique...I punched some hearts from cardstock, put them down on the Pink Paislee patterned paper and misted over the top of the hearts with Glimmer Mist! Remove the punched hearts and when dry, you can stamp a saying or add a rub on saying in the center.

Great way to use those punches and dies, while also using up your scraps of paper. I think this technique could surely work with any sort of sentiment - misting over stars for a birthday card would be fun!

I have an extra copy of this issue of CREATE magazine that I'd love to share with someone. Please leave a note here if you are interested in it! I'll choose someone to send it to soon. :)

Goodness gracious, my friend, you always do such wonderful work. :) And I hear you on the summer thing. Within the month the kids will be back to school! Where does the time go???? Speaking of, we need to try to get together before we have to move again (who knows when that will happen, not till at least 2013, but you never know with the Navy!)! Keep up the amazing work, I love seeing it come through my email! :D

Holy cow! That hanger project is just too stinkin cute!!! YOu could easily do this for either a boy or a girl as a shower gift and in the photo spot just add something cute until the baby comes along and they could inject the photo themselves....um, the parents not the baby!!! :):) And I love that card....I must try that because the effect just rocks :) Thanks for a chance to win!!!
