Look at this beautiful page I found the other day from Pink Paislee made by Corrie Jones. Stunning, right?
I took this page as my inspiration, as I loved the background she made over a stencil with spray mists. I wanted to try something similar with my stamping inks on a card.
First, I cut a piece of white cardstock 5x5". I also cut out a white leaf using the Papertrey Ink die called Turning a New Leaf. Get out your Hawaiian Shores ink and a Tim Holtz blending tool.
Now lay the leaf die cut paper over the cardstock and dab the blending tool into the ink pad. Carefully dab ink around the leaf die cut. Go slow and with caution, as to not rip the paper or get any ink under the die cut. You can go over it more than once to make a darker image, but I did a light dabbing here.
Now we are going to add some color. We'll make a mask by stamping the plain frame and cutting out the center. Place the negative of that over your card. Stamp the flowers from Simply Jane inside the frame with Summer Sunrise and Raspberry Fizz inks.
We are almost done! Fill in the top and bottom frames with the same Simply Jane flowers in Lemon Drops ink. Add two Aqua Mist buttons with twine. Adhere the finished card front to a card base.
You are probably wondering what Pinterest has to do with Papertrey Ink and our countdown festivities?
Papertrey Ink has a new Pinterest gallery! This means it will be easier for you to repin cards and projects by the design team, or if you are looking for a specific type of project - such as a sympathy idea, or a wedding idea - we have them categorized for you...
