Here I used the kraft cardstock for the base and embossed it with a Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next, I zig zag stitched the wood veneer tab - love this tab! (I'm sure you could stamp on it too!) I used some of the chipboard stars in the kit to add some pizzazz and color. To color them, I used my finger, dipped it in a Raspberry Fizz ink pad (hot pink) by Papertrey Ink and rubbed my finger over the star, revealing the embossed dots! When using this technique, it's easy to start with a light coat of ink and just add more if you want a deeper color. You could rub the star over an ink pad if you'd like, but you can't quite control how much ink you'll get on the star that way. Actually, the darker the ink goes on, the more the patterns will pop out of these cute little chipboard hearts and stars in the kit! These chipboard pieces are self adhesive also, so they are quick and easy to peel and stick to your project.
Oh, I added one of the little flags from the kit and a piece of paper cut into a banner shape, then stamped the bottom with "wow" from the Portfolio Clear Stamps in the kit and embossed it with white powder! (You get a whole set of these Portfolio Clear Stamps in my kit!)
--------------------
Using a circle punch, I punched in half way on the top and bottom to create little notches, then added some floss from my stash. On the chipboard hearts, I used Harvest Gold ink (yellow) and Pure Poppy ink (red) with the same technique using my finger as I mentioned above. Another little Ephemera piece that says, "remember" was tucked under the heart.
I'll be back with more kit projects soon! Meanwhile, please visit my friend Davinie's blog to see more kit photos and projects by her as well this week. You can purchase the kit HERE. Thank you for all of your support. It means the WORLD to me. xo
