a new Christmas card kit available...

As the the title of my post suggests, I have another kit available for purchase! This time it is a Christmas kit made with the City Sidewalks line by Pink Paislee, along with some fun things I put together to add to the kit!

Take a look at what you can make (and you'll have a TON left over to make more)...

On the Peace Love Joy card, I have included the sentiment for you in your kit, and put together a quick and easy card with the little City Sidewalks banner pieces. (Everything is in the kit.)

All you do is thread them onto the twine and staple the banner to your card front, easy peasy!

Next, a little cardstock tree I've included in the kit. I decided to wrap twine around the tree, then added some embossing powder to the edges to appear as if snow has fallen on the limbs. A few dots from the Chipboard Snowflakes, jewels, tinsel and a handmade crepe paper rose finish it off nicely. (Everything you see here is included in the kit, except the embossing powder I used on the branches of the tree.)

Just tuck in some die cut candies to decorate the tree, and you have a fun little card! You can decorate your tree as much or as little as you want. The tree is cut with the In The Meadow dies by Papertrey Ink.

On the third card, I used one of the larger tags as a card base, wrapped tinsel around the big tag and tied the tinsel in a knot on the bottom before adding the rest of the goodies on the card. The die cut reindeer is from the Ephemera pack. He's just popped up with dimensional adhesive a bit to make him stand out from the white background. (Everything here is in the kit with the exception of the little red berries, which I just punched out of red cardstock.)

To create the "Merry" card, I just added 2 of the tags layered together with a die cut word ( included in kit), a punched circle, snowflake and holly die cut from the Ephemera pack.

I tucked another little circle die cut under the bottom.

Last is a pocket on a pocket. :)
I decorated the kraft pocket and attached it to a card base, then stitched up the sides. You could hang it on a tree as a gift card holder. Or you could just leave it as a card without adding the glassine bag...

Portfolio kit projects...part 1.

As you may have read in my last post, I have a new kit available made with the brand new Portfolio line by Pink Paislee, and I wanted to make a few things with the kit, so you can see just how cute it really is! Last night I had a chance to make 2 quick cards with the kit.

Here I used the kraft cardstock for the base and embossed it with a Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next, I zig zag stitched the wood veneer tab - love this tab! (I'm sure you could stamp on it too!) I used some of the chipboard stars in the kit to add some pizzazz and color. To color them, I used my finger, dipped it in a Raspberry Fizz ink pad (hot pink) by Papertrey Ink and rubbed my finger over the star, revealing the embossed dots! When using this technique, it's easy to start with a light coat of ink and just add more if you want a deeper color. You could rub the star over an ink pad if you'd like, but you can't quite control how much ink you'll get on the star that way. Actually, the darker the ink goes on, the more the patterns will pop out of these cute little chipboard hearts and stars in the kit! These chipboard pieces are self adhesive also, so they are quick and easy to peel and stick to your project.
Oh, I added one of the little flags from the kit and a piece of paper cut into a banner shape, then stamped the bottom with "wow" from the Portfolio Clear Stamps in the kit and embossed it with white powder! (You get a whole set of these Portfolio Clear Stamps in my kit!)
--------------------

Next up, I layered 2 of the 6x6" patterned papers and added a tag over the top from the Ephemera package. I felt like the white in the tag needed a darker background, so the gray paper worked beautifully under the tag.

Using a circle punch, I punched in half way on the top and bottom to create little notches, then added some floss from my stash. On the chipboard hearts, I used Harvest Gold ink (yellow) and Pure Poppy ink (red) with the same technique using my finger as I mentioned above. Another little Ephemera piece that says, "remember" was tucked under the heart.

So, what do you think?  The kit is PACKED with goodies, I'm tellin' ya.

I'll be back with more kit projects soon! Meanwhile, please visit my friend Davinie's blog to see more kit photos and projects by her as well this week. You can purchase the kit HERE. Thank you for all of your support. It means the WORLD to me. xo

This kit will work beautifully for cards OR layouts. The journaling card paper is awesome for cutting small pieces and making cards with them, as well as the 6x6" paper pack. The chipboard hearts and stars are from the brand new Artisan line by Pink Paislee, and are mistable, meaning you can color these chipboard pieces with mist, paint, ink.....any medium.... to help them come to life.

I have very limited quantities this time around, so I cannot guarantee they'll be around for long!

So many fun things to play with - and endless possibilities! This kit does not come with directions for projects, however Davinie and I will be making layouts and cards and posting them on our blogs for ideas...and quite possibly a guest blogger will assist us as well!

Kits are created in a smoke-free home. Thank you!
