It's no secret that I love chevron patterns these days, so I was excited when I saw these cute buttons at A FLAIR FOR BUTTONS on Etsy. I know, excited about flair...ha..my husband makes fun of me, but I do love new and fun embellies. :) They have pages upon pages of totally cute flair for any occasion. I chose to use the chevron button to jazz up a snowflake on a card! The snowflake is cut with a Damask Snowflake die.
Under the flair, I added an ABC stamped circle and a notebook lined circle (from the Tag-Its #6 stamp set by Papertrey Ink), which I thought would make a cute addition for a teacher holiday card...
Journaling cards used here and 6x6" papers are from the new Christmas Cheer line by Lily Bee Designs. I actually stamped the notebook circle onto vellum and layered it over a punched patterned paper circle. I love how the soft effect turned out! Added a My Mind's Eye brad, tiny piece of Aqua Mist felt from Papertrey Ink, a pretty baker's twine and a floral pin = a lovely mix of layered goodness.

I really love the straight pin over vellum with a brad- really wonderful layering! I often struggle with cards because I want to just keep adding and I forget that it's the small details that make biggest impact- thanks for reinforcing that for me. :)

This is another wonderful card, Danielle, with so much to like about it. The red chevrons in both the button and paper work so well in the design. I LOVE the stamped vellum circles and how you layered them. And using the ABC border to turn this into a teacher's thank you is brilliant.
