Here are a couple more new stamp sets that came out in August by Papertrey Ink, and I just adore them!
Apple Prints and
Wonderful Words: Thank You.
Made a little card set with these goodies and some Crate Paper patterned paper.
On the apple card, I die cut the apple from several sheets of notebook paper (with one cut since they are so thin!), stamped the apple and stem, then stitched down the center. The reason I used more than one sheet of notebook paper is because the paper is so thin, and I wanted to have a thicker look to the apple.)
The patterned paper piece pulls out, so you can write something on the back or attach a gift card. The paper came that way - I didn't use mist on these to get the little droplets- I simply cut out the paper from the sheet and inserted it into a folded doily, then added the apple over the top.
On the next card, the tree is cut from
Mighty Oak, then I used the Apple Prints dies to cut a bunch of patterned paper apples. Who says apples have to be red and green, right?! I love the clean look with the white, yet it's layered with lots of texture, interest and patterns!
The doilies are from the craft store, you can find them in the baking section, and they are very inexpensive. I don't know what it is about doilies, but I'm infatuated with them. They make such cute cards. I snipped the "Thank You" apart here because it was too long to fit across the bottom of my card, and I wanted to be able to see the whole sentiment. Use the products they way they suit you! Snip them apart if you need to. ;)
