Cardmaking with washi tapes...

Is it too soon for a holiday card? :)
Today I'm up over at the Scrapbook Expo blog and am working with washi tapes in place of patterned papers. Stop over to read more about this card!

I've used the Tag Sale #4 die, Season's Greetings stamp set, Bigger Blooms stamps and dies and the Basic Bookmark 1 die by Papertrey Ink, along with the washi tapes and embossing powder, twine and sequins.

Swing over to the Weekly Scrapper blog to read more and to see how I store my washi tapes! Do you love washi? How do you use it?

City Scene revisited...

It's the first of the month (yay for May!), and that means we are bringing you some fresh inspiration with an older Papertrey Ink set.  Today we are working with the City Scene stamps!

I've used the Tag Sale #4 die, one of my very favorite tag shapes, an added some buildings from City Scene. I've mixed in City Scene Christmas Sentiments stamps also and the Christmas Cheer dies over the top!
On each of the tags, I've sprinkled on some Faux Snow!
These are so quick to make and would be a cute set to give away to someone, or to use on gift bags or boxes.

Visit Betsy, Dawn, Heather and Melissa to see more fun ideas with these sets! I can't wait to see what they've made! Thanks for swinging by today, have a happy and creative day!

Make It Monday: Splattering...

I am up this morning with a Make It Monday video! Today I'll be sharing a couple of ways to get the "splattered" look on your tags and cards.
There are a couple different ways to splatter...well, I'm sure there are MANY different ways, but in the video, I'll show you two techniques, a fine splattered look and how to get the big droplets, as well as how to make these pretty tags!
Swing by Nichole Heady's blog to see the new Make It Monday video tutorial! Have a very happy Monday!
