Product pick: wood shapes...

Today at the Pink Paislee blog, my assignment was to work with the new "Wood Shapes". Pink Paislee makes 2 different wooden shape sets right now - the Soiree set and the Butterfly Garden set. I chose to use one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Garden set.
Here I painted the butterfly a bit, not covering it completely, just "shabbying" it up a bit, then I backed it with some of the pink graph paper. You can ink these, mist them, paint them, stamp on them, and add embellishments to them! So many things you can do. I really love the dimension they add.

I layered some of the Hometown Summer Punchouts on the top of the page to add color and interest! The "you" is hand cut.....I have a Cricut and would love to get it going, but haven't had time to figure it out yet! Anyone live near Saratoga Springs want to come over and help me get it set up!? :)
The photos are 2" x 2" and I printed two of them at a time on a 4x6" piece of photo paper on my home printer.

Gosh, I miss those chubby little rolls! Kati had just turned one in these photos. The rub on alphabet is from the Hometown Summer Press Ons.

Here is the little sketch I made before I started the page...

Yes, I was going to stitch a long butterfly trail down the page, but I ran out of time. Papers are from the Daily Junque line and the larger alphas are from the Hometown Summer line. Stop over to the Pink Paislee blog for more inspiration!
