Boutique Borders: Thanks...

Papertrey Ink is counting down to their new June releases, so stop over to Nichole Heady's blog to catch all of the sneak peeks! Today I get to introduce the new Boutique Borders: Thanks stamp set and die created by the fabulous Dawn McVey.

On my first card, I mixed and matched it with the Strawberry Patch stamps and the Ribbons & Bows stamps. I was inspired by THIS tote I saw on Pinterest!

The first thing I did was stamp the ribbon from Ribbons & Bows in Aqua Mist to determine where I was going to place the strawberries. Then I stamped a few different sized strawberries around the ribbon from Strawberry Patch. The tops of the stems overlapped, and I didn't like how they were all stamped on top of each other, so I die cut the stems and added them over the top for more dimension and a cleaner look.

To make the frame, I die cut the new Boutique Borders: Thanks die, stamped the coordinating frame in Fresh Snow on top and embossed it with white embossing powder. The navy sentiment is stamped with Enchanted Evening ink.
Sending Sincere Thanks card:
STAMPS: Boutique Borders: Thanks, Strawberry Patch, Ribbons & Bows, Background Basics: Gingham
INK: Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, Fresh Snow, Enchanted Evening, Spring Moss inks
PAPER: Rustic Cream, Aqua Mist cardstock
DIES: Boutique Borders: Thanks
OTHER: corner rounder.

Here I mixed one of the Boutique Borders: Thanks sentiments with the Rosie Posie stamp set and dies. Love how the sentiment in Dark Chocolate ink looks over the Classic Kraft and Sweet Blush hexagons. Such depth to the eye!

I stamped a row of roses in Dark Chocolate and added a larger one popped up in Pure Poppy. A little piece of seam binding and a Pink Paislee button with twine finishes it off.

I Appreciate You card:
STAMPS: Rosie Posie, Boutique Borders: Thanks
INK: Classic Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy inks
PAPER: Rustic Cream
DIES: Rosie Posie
OTHER: seam binding, button by Pink Paislee, twine.

On the last card, I used the Boutique Borders: Thanks die to cut out a negative frame from the front of this card. I cut another frame in white and added it to the inside.

I used a new die called Wonderful Words: Teacher and placed it over the opening with a die cut apple from the Back To School stamps and dies. Here's what it looks like from the front when it's closed.

Really fun to make! You could use any of the Wonderful Words dies over the opening to make cards for other occasions.

Thank You, Teacher card:
STAMPS: Boutique Borders: Thanks, Back To School, Wonderful Words: Teacher stamps
INK: Pure Poppy, True Black, Ripe Avocado inks
PAPER: Aqua Mist and white cardstock
DIES: Boutique Borders: Thanks, Wonderful Words: Teacher dies
OTHER: corner rounder.
