Looks like today is the day...

I can spill my excitement! Check it out here: Pink Paislee blog! I am just so thrilled to be asked to join the team for this new manufacturing company..I finally feel as if I'm getting somewhere in the world of "art"... if you know what I mean? It's really a dream come true for me. And I just adore these products so much that Rebecca and Holly have created! What an honor to join these talented ladies....

I wanted to share a few things that I made with Pink Paislee papers and die cuts from the next kit over at Create My Keepsake. There will actually be 2 Pink Paislee kits available on March 1st, this one is the Spring Fling line of papers! This project is a little wooden dream sign that I altered with the papers. I added a wire to hold my photo in the back. This is Kati when she was born..don't ya just wanna kiss those chubby cheeks? She is now 2 1/2 and they are still chubby. lol

I can't remember where I picked up this frame, I think maybe it was the Christmas Tree Shop, but it's been sitting in my closet waiting to be altered...and I finally found the perfect papers for it. I love the edges on this Pink Paislee paper, so I filled three spots with the paper and added a photo of my girls. The flowers and die cuts are added on top of the frame.

And last, but not least, this little butterfly was made with the Jenni Bowlin labels that came in the kit! I added a Pink Paislee die cut for the body and cut the antennas from the paper as well. Can you tell I'm longing for Spring?
(Will be in Cards Magazine, Aug. 2008)

Well.. that is about all I have for today! We keep getting more and more snow, and keep having more and more snow days. At this rate, the kids will have to go to school all summer! lol Have a wonderful day! ~Danielle~

Can't get enough..

stitching lately! Is there a technique you are totally addicted to right now? Thanks to my good friend, Davinie for all the stitching inspiration!

For this card, I used the negative of my die cut sheet from Fancy Pants and traced the wing shapes onto my paper, then stitched around the pencil lines. Next, I adhered some swirl rub ons for the inside of the wings from Tinkering Ink (Floral Frippery rub ons). I used a bottle of clear glue with a fine point on it to cover the little swirl rub ons, then sprinkled fine glitter over the top and let dry.
(Will be in Paper Trends Aug/Sept 2008 issue.)

This was done for the "inspiration of the week" over at Create My Keepsake, come on over and visit us! Such talented people there, I tell ya. Lots of inspiration always!

Longing for spring!

Boy, am I ready for spring to arrive. Today as Kati and I went to the grocery store, chunks of ice were melting off the trees from our ice storm the other day, and it was almost like it was hailing out! So weird. Our driveway is still a very thick sheet of ice. I just can't wait for the fresh, warm breezes, birds chirping, flowers blooming, opportunity for photos again (of course!)...and well..all of it. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons.

Speaking of spring, here are the cards I promised. Love these fresh colors! These are from Treasured Scrapbooking's Feb. card kit featuring Fancy Pants "Botanical" papers. I believe there are only 2 left, so if you really, really want one, snag it soon here!

The Sweet Spring to U card below was made for the new on-line Bella Magazine. It's a hybrid card made with the Spring Sherbet kit from Jennifer Layden of Jennilyn Designs and Holley VanDenBerg. I enlarged a digital element from the kit (flower), changed it to white, added the pink background and word "sweet" from the digital kit, and then printed it out on a piece of white cardstock and folded for the card base. I cut around the flower shape with scalloped scissors. Added American Crafts pink foam letters and rub on letters, Making Memories ribbon, and a button. The butterfly was a digital element as well and was printed out and added for extra dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a nice weekend! ~Danielle~

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Ooh I love this day! I remember handing out and receiving all those fun Valentines and goodies in school, it was always a magical day! Hope you are having one of those kinds of days today!

I have been busy working with the new Tinkering Ink line called Beloved for my design team at Create My Keepsake recently. They were our sponsor for February! These colors are so vibrant and yummy, I had a great time creating with this stuff! Here is a photo I captured of my daughter with daddy...journaling says, "Taylor adores her daddy's love. She just can't get enough. She says she is going to marry him some day. 11/23/07" They are really so much alike, it's almost scary. LOLThis one is a transparent card that I made..it was sure hard to get a good pic of this one. I used the die cut journaling spot (blue) for the background and the 2 is a die cut also. The brackets are Tinkering Ink stickers and the rub on swirls are Floral Frippery by TI as well. (click on photos to see them larger)

One thing I love about this line is that it works awesome for clean lines OR shabby chic! It's very adaptable! I added a Scenic Route sentiment and a Prima flower.
On this one, I freehanded the star and inked up a chipboard circle with black StazOn ink. Added another SR rub on sentiment to the cut out circle.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Check back tomorrow as it is the 15th...time to share my TS cards with you! I'll give you a hint...Fancy Pants Botanical! :)

Morning!

Hope you are all having a terrific start to your week! We are all feeling a bit sick here, the cold weather is really taking it's toll. It's going to be 17 degrees here today. I'm so ready for Spring, blossoming flowers and the warm, fresh breezes! My little Kati has a really bad phlegmy cough..am starting to get worried about her and am going to take her to the doctor today..poor thing. Have you ever had a cold so badly that your eyes hurt just to be open? That's her today. I feel so bad for her!

Well, I wanted to pop in quickly and tell you that the new card kit is available for pre-order at Right at Home Scrapbooking! Here is a sneak peek for you. The papers are Imaginisce's For Peep's Sake (isn't that name the cute-E-est!?) and there are some very fun rub ons, letters, an acrylic stamp, and embellishments/trims in this one! There are 5 cards with patterns and instructions included. To purchase or view more info: go here to Right At Home. And I'm so excited to have some of my work featured at CHA this year in Anaheim, CA! Here are a few pics of the Pink Paislee booth and my cards. I snagged these photos from a site called Craft Critique.com. Pink Paislee was one of their favorite picks for the day!

Thanks for stopping by today! I truly appreciate it! ~Danielle~

More sneak peeks!

More Pink Paislee peeks coming at ya! I had so much fun working with these products! Check them out at www.pinkpaislee.com! The first two were made with the Office Lingo line, love the pinks and oranges together!

The HEY CHICK card was made with 3 negative chipboard letters covered/backed with the patterned paper from the collection and then the stamps were stamped onto transparencies with black permanent Staz On ink and cut out. The polkadot chick was painted in on the back of the transparency with acrylic paints and distressed a bit for a shabby feel! Then I just connected the letters with ribbon. This actually folds up to fit in an envelope!

The cupcake on the next card is stamped on patterned paper and cut out/raised up for extra dimension. The orange die cut trim really felt like streamers to me when I added it to my card, so I went with the idea and added more ribbon streamers!

(Will be published in Paper Crafts' Card Creations 6, 2008.)

And the last one is one of my favorites!! I just adore this die cut paper from the Spring Fling line, isn't it beautiful?? I didn't do a thing to it, it comes that way! Just folded it in half for my card, added the die cut journaling piece and stickers, and some cut out flowers from the paper. The cute little buttons are from Walmart. Very easy card to make!

Stay tuned for more! I have a TON to share with you! And if you are headed to CHA, visit the Pink Paislee both downstairs in the new exhibitors' section! I'm so jealous of you lucky ladies who get to go! ~Danielle~
