New Tattered Angels...

Good morning, I thought I'd pop in and share a couple of my recent Tattered Angels projects that I've been working on. This page was misted with a new color of Glimmer Mist called Sunshine. I used the new Tattered Angels/Heidi Swapp mask to spray over for the yellow background, and then also used it to cut the shape of my paper (the houndstooth is by Pink Paislee).

This is little Ava, the baby I watch a couple days a week. Pretty adorable, I must say. :)

Everything here is from their Regal collection, chipboard frame, letters, stamps. The frame is sprayed with a fun new color called Viva Pink. Also sprayed the letters (although it's hard to see here) with Dazzling Diamonds and a little bit of Silver Sugar Glimmer Mist.
Do you like these flowers? I make them myself and was thinking of selling some. Right now I have this teal color, a soft lime green, white, off-white and yellow ribbons. E-mail me if you are interested! (
This "Ticket 2 My Heart" card was made with Graphic 45 paper on top, Pink Paislee on the bottom and the frame and ticket transparency are new from Tattered Angels.
Lastly, I had to make a beach page for CHA with the new chipboard letters, beach chipboard (starfish) and the new beach transparencies. I used the Sunshine Glimmer Mist again to spray a coffee filter and scrunch it up for the sun. Papers are new Pink Paislee from the 365 line and I stitched over them a bit.
This is my little beach babe last summer at Hampton Beach. She STILL loves that bikini and wears it in the middle of winter! LOL
Enjoy your weekend! I'll be back on Monday to share a new Jenni Bowlin page for the next kit reveal!

Vintage Posey and Attic Treasures

Good morning, it's snowing again here today, coming down ever so gently. It's pretty to watch!

Here are a few more Melissa Frances projects that I worked on for the craft and hobby show in CA. This one is a new tag book by Melissa Frances and it's larger than the previous one that they had come out with. It comes on 2 rings and has tags inside the pockets. I used some of the new Attic Treasures papers and some new Vintage Posey papers to adorn my book. The die cuts are mostly from the Walk for a Cure die cuts, the wreath is a new resin piece by Melissa Frances too. (and more of the crepe roses)
This is a card made with new Spring Ephemera stickers, new Vintage Posey papers, new resin Walk for a Cure die cuts, Attic Treasures crepe paper...
This is one of their Bingo Books dressed up in the new Vintage Posey papers, new resin, Walk for a Cure die cuts, spring rub on and I used crepe paper for the tabs on the inside. Just hot glued them right in.
...More of the new Attic Treasures papers and die cuts here, along with the little flowers cut from some of the Vintage Posey papers. I **LOVE** that script paper!
Melissa Frances is having a give-away. Stop by their blog!

**I really wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your nice commments, support and friendship. I feel so blessed to have "met" so many wonderful ladies in this scrapbooking "biz". :) I appreciate it so much when you stop by and visit and will try to do the same for you!

Sew many...

...stitch functions, so little time!

Santa brought me a new sewing machine for Christmas, and I just took it out the other day to play with it after cleaning up my area and am loving all the different stitches on it. My old machine had two - straight and zig zag. lol It's been fun to play with it and experiment, although I learned that not all of the stitches lend themselves well to paper! Some are too close together and rip the paper. On this layout I sewed the little curly Q's around the white die cut paper. you notice anything about the products on this page? They are all by Jenni Bowlin.... Yes, I have some exciting news to share! I have been asked to join the JBS team! I'm really excited, but extremely nervous to be part of this talented group!

You can stop over and see the news and a pic of my scrap space here on the JBS blog!

Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you!

Crepe paper roses...

Do you ever create something that you just LOVE? Once in awhile that happens to me.... I adore these little flower balls... funny how some little strips of crepe paper can turn into something so beautiful!

One day I was playing around with the Melissa Frances crepe paper, starting twisting and turning it, and came up with a cute little flower that resembled a rose. I had some styrofoam balls, so I decided I'd try to hot glue them on and see what it looked like. Turned out that I fell in love with them!

I showed Melissa what the crepe paper could do and she decided to have me make a few to hang in her booth at CHA!

I recently posted these over at 2 peas and got a very nice response, thank you so much. So I'd like to share with you how I made them.

1. Cut crepe paper into strips of 9" long x 3/4" wide or so.2. Take one strip and start rolling the end. Roll about 3 times or so to get a good start on it and make sure it's not going to roll back apart. Then hold it with your left hand. With your right hand, grab the long end and twist the paper around one half turn. **This will create the petal look.** Then continue to roll it up. Twist over again creating a fold each time. Roll. Twist. Roll. Twist. Continue until you get to the end of the strip.

3. When you come to the end of the roll, very carefully put a dab of hot glue on the end to hold the end and secure it closed. You should have created something like this:
4. Then...when you get a bunch of these made, you will hot glue them onto a styrofoam ball (any size). I found that the hot glue likes to seep down into the pores of the styrofoam, so it was easier for me to glue the roses together on each side with hot glue. Be VERY careful. I burned myself many, many times! The glue is difficult to see against the white styrofoam.

You should end up with something like these:I plan to make lots more, wouldn't they be cute hanging in a little girl's room? Or an Easter or Spring decoration? Or a wedding! There are so many things you could use them for. The largest one in this photo is about 10 inches across. I love the big ones! The clear stars were found at Target in the gift wrapping section at Christmas time and the keyhole is by Melissa Frances, and is just stuck onto the star with a glue dot.

If you are like me and you need a visual...I did make a video on how to create Crepe paper flowers, it's a little different than these, but the centers are made exactly the same. You can view a video tutorial here. Excuse my voice...I hate listening to myself! lol

This is the project shown in the video. See the center of the white flower? I made it the same way as the flowers above.

New Melissa Frances products here include new resin pieces, Easter ephemera stickers, new Attic Treasures background paper, new Backer Boards (round chipboard background) and new Vintage Posies paper (blue).
Phew! I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions regarding the paper roses!

These colors make me smile...

Here are a couple more cards made with the Bayberry line by Pink Paislee and the Artisan tape! I love these colors for spring! I seem to have a thing for yellow lately.

On the first card, I used the tape as sort of a border (the yellow strip). Punched out some butterflies from the houndstooth paper and used the negative of the paper. This paper is from the 6x6 paper pad, perfect size for a card. I used one of the Bayberry Cottage die cuts on the top for a fun little accent.

On the second card, I folded the Artisan tape into a flower! It sticks as you fold it, so it was really easy to create. The background is embossed with the Swiss Dots folder (Cuttlebug) and I used the Bayberry line again here, along with some of the new sticker letters and a houndstooth large alpha for the i.

I know some of you saw my crepe paper flowers that I made for the Melissa Frances booth at CHA and are patiently waiting for me to post a tutorial, so I'm going to work on that for you today and will be back soon with it, I promise. Can't wait to show you, I've been holding this idea in for a month or two now. lol

Thanks so very much for all your kind comments!!

Artisan Tape and Elements

Wow, wow, wow. Check these out! These are the new Artisan Tape and Artisan Elements by Pink Paislee! I am just so amazed by the new things they come up with each time. The tape rolls could be used so many different ways, and the Elements are paintable, mist-able (if that's a word) and inkable! They are made from a mixture of foam and resin and are debossed with a design.

I didn't get to play with the Elements yet, because they weren't ready in time for us to create samples, however I did get to play with 3 of the tape rolls and I had a blast with them!

The tape rolls come in 10 designs and can be purchased for $1.99 each! They fit on any standard tape dispenser, how fun is that!

The Elements will come on 8"x8" sheets and will go for $4.99.

Here are the Elements - Alphas:
Elements - Frames:
And the Elements - Swirls:
On this card, I used the "graph paper" one and cut it into little strips to create a frame. Papers, die cuts, brad and border stickers are from the Bayberry line.
On this card below, I put a bit of baby powder on the back of it to make it non-sticky and folded it into a little pull tab. Take a look at the houndstooth alphas....LOVE!
I have 2 more cards to share with you soon using the tape. It makes a great flower! (hint, hint!) Hope you are enjoying these sneaks. Stop by the Pink Paislee blog today and leave a comment for your chance to win these Artisan supplies!
