Thank you, mom...

Thank you, mom, for loving me with all your heart.
Thank you, mom, for guiding me in the right direction.
Thank you, mom, for always being there for me.
Thank you, mom, for all your hard work raising me.
Thank you, mom, for listening when I needed to talk.
Thank you, mom, for being the beautiful person that you are inside and out! I love you!

I know my mom has started to read my blog recently. Hi mom! This is for you! We were assigned a "Thank You, Mom" project for Emma's Paperie this week, so this is what I came up with. I wanted to tell my mom how much I appreciate all she has done for me. You don't realize how much moms do until you become one! I printed the little strips of journaling and put them in these 6" glass tubes..aren't they the cutest little things? I had to figure out a fun idea for them. Then I used the Prima flowers to tuck into the little tubes also by adding wire to them. I painted and glittered a little chipboard bird and made a card to go with it too. You can read the supply list HERE and see what the other girls came up with!

And the next card kit is up and ready for purchase at Create My Keepsake! Along with the kit, you will receive instructions, photos and patterns to create these 4 cards! Papers and rub ons are Dream Street's new Secret Garden line, chipboard is Basic Grey's Porcelain collection and lots more...

The kit can be purchased here: April's Garden Gate card kit. I'll be back tomorrow with some Label Tulip creations!

Pretty things that make my heart happy...

Just some little lovelies that my sister-in-law picked up for me today...aren't they pretty? They make my heart sing! I can't wait to plant them in the backyard in a few weeks.
Speaking of pretty things...how about another give-away? Emma's Paperie has graciously asked me to guest design for them this month, and I got to choose some gorgeous things from the store to give away. All you have to do is leave a comment on Emma's Paperie blog to win this:

Woohooo!

Congrats to my Pink Paislee give-away winner, PattiM!! You have won a Pink Paislee prize package worth $35! Thanks sooooo very much to everyone who left comments, it sure was fun reading all of those! Some of you even made me giggle with your comments. =)

I'm off to bed....have been scrapping my heart out this evening....but before I go, I thought I'd share with you a couple of cards made recently.

This one was created for this week's challenge at Emma's Paperie. If you haven't visited Emma's store, you MUST! She has everything under the sun, including the ever-so-yummy Melissa Frances goodies that everyone has been looking for but can't find. I just ordered a bunch of things! I'm trying to be good lately, but it's so hard... =) She also has all of the new Pink Paislee and Jenni Bowlin that I used here on this card:
On the next card, I had fun with my new lace punch by Fiskars on the edges of some new Fresh Twist paper by Melissa Frances and added a Tattered Angels frame on the front. I used the frame as a template and traced it, then cut it out, so the sentiment on the inside of the card peeks through to the front. The rub on is a Spring rub on by Melissa Frances, pearl is Attic Treasures by Melissa Frances and flower is just a silk flower from the craft store. I added a bit of glitter to the frame also.
All right...I need to grab a few winks. I'll be back soon! Thanks for stopping by!
