Good morning, hope your weekend went well! We had some nice weather and cleaned up outdoors yesterday...had to dig the mounds of leaves out of our gutters, trim bushes, rake the remaining leaves, etc. I can't wait to plant flowers again. I love gardening and being outdoors. I'd love to start a garden this year! (If you have any tips for me, please share!) The girls found a little patch of dirt and went nuts digging and getting dirty!

Speaking of getting dirty, I tried to channel my inner artist with this layout over the weekend. I like how it turned out, but wish I would have added just a bit more paint to it. I have been wanting to use these "Create" rub ons by Melissa Frances for a long time, and finally decided it'd be fun to scrap about scrapping. ha

Everything here is Melissa Frances, except these little red letter stickers by Pink Paislee. I love these things. They are the perfect size for titles, not too big and not too small. I added a bit of paint to the glittery chipboard letters.
Check out the cute sayings! I covered some Jenni Bowlin chipboard stars with the Maxine paper and then layered the photos and sayings on top. The arrows are stamps and I just zig zag stitched inside them with my machine.

On the next card, I tore 2 pages out of the Small Circle Open Up album by MF and machine stitched them together at the top. Then covered the front with the patterned paper. Makes a uniquely shaped card and the notebook edge is kind of fun!
Added some paint to the chipboard butterfly and then glittered it while wet. Before I added the "wings" rub on over the top, I just scraped a little bit of the glitter off in that spot.

Here I used the same concept by tearing out a page from the small scalloped album and using it on the front of my card. These albums have tons of pages in them, so they can still be used for a mini album later!

Each Friday over at Create My Keepsake, there is a new sketch posted called the Friday Formula and you have 24 hours to create a page based on the sketch! Everyone who plays along is entered into a drawing for prizes at the end of the month. Here is today's Friday Formula:
This is the page that I created with the sketch. Instead of 4 photos, I just used one and put some embellishments in place of the other pics. I used a variety of Melissa Frances products on this, along with some Prima flowers, SEI ribbon and craft store twine. My husband works about 45 minutes from home and I just love seeing how excited the girls are to see him when he gets home each day (and him too)! We were outside playing the other day when he got home and I happened to be taking pics of the girls playing, so I caught this photo. It's definitely one of my all-time fave photos!
I cut some of the negative chipboard from the sheet that the letters come on to create the little house in the title.

It's me again!

I'm back with more goodies! This time they are created with the April kit from Label Tulip! You NEED to check out what all of the design team members did with this kit. Here is the gallery for this month. Some amazing talent! I feel like mine really stink next to their creations! These kits are truly amazing, if you've been looking for a kit club for scrapbook pages, look NO further!

Blossoming Little Painter

What a Lovely Day card was created with the kit for a monochromatic challenge, so I chose to go with the oranges and browns in the kit:
Love these Prima flowers that came in the kit! The stamp with the lines on it below is an exclusive Label Tulip stamp that comes in the add-on kit...it says "Not-to-do list" on it. I actually stamped it upside down just for an extra detail on my card.
On the Miss You card, I used a Hambly rub on frame in the center of the card and then cut out the middle so the inside of the card would show through.
I can't wait to see what next month's kit will hold!

Oh, and is there anyone from Massachusetts out there? I am very excited to be teaching two classes at Right at Home in North Attleboro for National Scrapbooking Day on May 2nd! NSD is coming soon, only a couple of weeks away! One class will be an altered frame project and the other is going to be a basic Photoshop class as it relates to editing photos and working with layers...tons of information for you and a packet to take home.
