Paper Crafts Magazine Presents: A Card Style Mystery Blog Hop

I am in love with the shabby chic style. There is something so warm and cozy about it...worn and comfy like a soft quilt, imperfect and casual, so welcoming.

I created this shabby card with a small oval embroidery hoop - painted shabby white and sanded, then attached to the front of the card. The little house is painted with a soft blue acrylic paint and sanded as well. The background paper reminded me of a quilt. (See below for supplies used.)

Supplies used: Fly a Kite - Ice Cream paper by October Afternoon, chipboard house by Riff Raff Designs, paint, resin photo corner and rub on saying by Melissa Frances, embroidery hoop from crafty supply,  flowers and star pin by Maya Road, seam binding by Zipperstop - sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I had a blast creating a few cards for the Card Style issue of Paper Crafts! I just received this issue the other day and it is so inspiring to see all of the different styles and loved how they were laid out, with so many examples of each. My favorite thing about this challenge was picking out all the goodies that inspire me....buttons, pins, tickets, rub ons, paint/ink, ribbons and adding stitching too.

What is YOUR style?

Please leave a comment here and on each of the 18 mystery blogs in the hop, plus a comment both at the Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World blogs for 20 chances to win! These two blogs will show a portion of the prize package which is valued over $350. Three winners will be chosen.

All comments must be posted by Sunday, July 18. Winners will be announced on the Moxie Fab World and Paper Crafts Connection blogs on Tuesday, July 20.
