A holiday wish...

Finally finished my shopping and my wrapping yesterday...phew! Such a relief to have that done! Today was cleaning and tomorrow will be baking and then off to the in-laws for Christmas eve. Can't believe it's finally here! My girls are counting down the "sleeps". :)

Over the weekend, I had a chance to play with my Pink Paislee goodies. Can you believe I actually made some layouts? I don't do them often, but when I do, I really have a lot of fun. That is going to be one of my New Year's resolutions...to not make quite as many cards and altered projects, even though I love to do them...and focus more on getting the memories down in my scrapbooks once again.

I combined lots of different Pink Paislee lines here..Pop Fashion and Sweet Cakes papers, along with Tinsel Town stamps (snowflake and snow ticket) and rub ons (swirl). This is Kati during our first snow, Dec. 7th. She saw the snow when she woke up, then she and Taylor got ready and went right outside first thing in the morning!
I sprayed some "snow" from the craft store onto an acrylic snowflake page from Maya Road and sprayed a clear sealer over it before adding it to my page. Kind of a fun effect!

I ran out of black letter stickers and really wanted my title to be in black, so I had to be a bit creative. I used f's and cut the tops off of them for the t's. For the e, I used a 3 backwards.
On the "Love Me" layout, I used some Sweet Cakes papers, journaling postcard, and rub ons by Pink Paislee. My girls are so funny.. one of them is always trying to love the other one and it goes back and forth like that all day. =) I added the little bee rub on right over the letter stickers. The hearts are Melissa Frances and the butterfly button is Making Memories.

I saw this ornament at 2 peas, and I was so inspired! I tried it out with strips of photos of my girls printed on a 4 x 6 piece of photo paper, but when I wrapped them around like she did, it created a very small ball. So...instead I found some styrofoam balls in my stash and decided to add strips of Tinsel Town papers, ribbons and a piece cut out from the Tinsel Town Postcards. Added some Pop Fashion sticker borders also for a little pizzaz. lol

The blue/white ornament below was the first one I created, and even though I like the blue/white color combo, I like the other one better. I learned that I didn't want the styrofoam to show through, so if you make one of these, wrap the ribbons first and then add the paper and photos to the top. Then the photos don't get covered up so much by the papers and ribbons. The papers on here are Making Memories Poolside.
For a base I used part of a ribbon spool covered with more of the MM paper. To attach the strips, I just used pins from the fabric store at the tops and bottoms of the strips.
Well, this will probably by my last post until after Christmas, so wishing you all a Happy Holiday!! Stay safe and enjoy the magic of the holiday, and of course, don't forget to take tons of pictures to scrap. Merry Christmas!

And thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comments, I really really appreciate them, and I put them in my heart to keep. Thank you, you made my day.
Here in Norway we celebrate christmas tonight on the 24th, so we are just about to get started with all the things we need to do before we can slow down and gather with our families. It's the best day of the year, and the joy in the children's eyes are all worth the stress beforehand.
I wish you and your family a wonderful and heartwarming christmascelebration, and all the best for the new year.
