Release Day...

The first card was made with the new Mistletoe & Holly stamp set. I first brushed the edges with white acrylic paint, then before it was completely dry, I stamped holly in Spring Moss ink over Spring Moss cardstock. Then some of the same holly leaves were added with Ripe Avocado over the top....a neat effect with the paint showing through!

Holly Jolly Christmas:
STAMPS: Mistletoe & Holly
INK: Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy, True Black
PAPER: Spring Moss cardstock
DIES: none
OTHER: white paint.
---------------

This background was die cut with the Cover Plate: Harlequin, but I kept all the pieces in tact and glued them to a card base.
The snowflakes from Snowflake Medley and sentiment from Think Big Favorites #20 were stamped right over the top. The trick is to use a foam pad underneath the card while stamping to assure a nice image. This really helps when you are stamping over an embossed design like this.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas card:
STAMPS: Snowflake Medley, Think Big Favorites #20
INK: Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush, True Black
PAPER: white cardstock, Pure Poppy Pattern Pack
DIES: Cover Plate: Harlequin
OTHER: none.

What is more fun for smiles than bright colors? Love this mix of Aqua Mist, Limeade Ice and Raspberry Fizz, especially on the kraft to make everything pop.
I used the tree top from the new Heart-2-Heart #8 set in a circular pattern and covered up the center with a 2" punched circle of paper and a Limeade Ice felt snowflake.

You Make Me Smile card:
STAMPS: Heart-2-Heart #8
INK: Fresh Snow, True Black
PAPER: White, Classic Kraft and Raspberry Fizz cardstock, Aqua Mist Pattern Pack, Lily Bee Designs (plaid)
DIES: Snowflake Medley, Loop De Loop dies
OTHER: Raspberry Fizz button, rustic twine, Limeade Ice felt.

I wanted to try something different with the Happy Harlequin stamp set and Cover Plate instead of just cutting the cover plate and inserting the harlequins where they would normally go, so I die cut the harlequins and stamped in all different blue inks, then tried to arrange them in a fun wintery pattern.
The frame is cut with Framed Out #8 die and stamped with new Limeade Ice ink! (Ribbon is Limeade Ice also.) Sentiment is from Framed Out #8. The background is stamped with Background Basics: Twinkle.
Celebrate the Season card:
STAMPS: Happy Harlequin, Background Basics: Twinkle, Framed Out #8
INK: True Black, Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores, Blueberry Sky, Aqua Mist, Spring Rain
PAPER: White cardstock
DIES: Framed Out #8
OTHER: Limeade Ice Ribbon, dimensional adhesive.

Next, meet the new Winter Snow Globe stamp set. I die cut the snow globe and trimmed off the bottom of the globe for the center of the snowflake. Sweet Blush cardstock was embossed with the flakes from the snow globe set and some frosty glitter was added!
I used the Edgers #3 die to create layers on the front flap, so the front flap is a little bit shorter than the back, allowing the sentiment to peek through from the inside of the card.

Let It Snow card:
STAMPS: Winter Snow Globe, Bits & Buttons
INK: Fresh Snow, True Black
PAPER: Sweet Blush cardstock, Scarlet Jewel Pattern Pack, chevron is by Lily Bee Designs
DIES: Snowflake Medley, Snow Globe, Edgers #3 die
OTHER: rustic twine, Scarlet Jewel button, Scarlet Jewel ribbon.

-------------

New this month also are the dies to match the older Year of Flowers: Poinsettia stamp set. I created some layers with felt flowers and stamped flowers with the Year of Flowers: Poinsettia dies.

Sending Holiday Wishes card:
STAMPS: Year of Flowers: Poinsettia
INK: True Black, Scarlet Jewel
PAPER: Lavender Moon cardstock, Scarlet Jewel Pattern Pack
DIES: Year of Flowers: Poinsettia,
Fabulous Frames
OTHER: white and Classic Kraft felt, watercolors.
-------------

Last, but not least, Bits & Buttons stamp set. I used the button stamps over the holly die cut from the new Holiday Button Bits die collection.
Holly Jolly Christmas card:
STAMPS: Bits & Buttons, Mistletoe & Holly
INK: Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado, True Black
PAPER: Candy Cane Prints, kraft, white and Spring Moss cardstock
DIES: Holiday Button Bits, Limitless Layers Square 2.25" dies
OTHER: Pure Poppy Button, twine

You made me flip back to wanting the harlequin cover plate and I love the doily effect from the tree tops. Very nice job. Thanks.

Beautiful cards! I love all the different color combos you use...that's one of my favorite things about your work. And I have to tell you, nothing I've seen so far of Heart-2-Heart #8 has really made me consider buying it until I saw your snowflake card. Pure genius! I love everything about it.
