curls and swirls...

Right now I'm busily creating for the next Papertrey Ink release, which I think you are going to love! Fall is always one of my favorite times to create - think leaves, pumpkins, grateful mini albums, etc. :) Meanwhile, I'd love to share this page I made a long while back for the Scrapbooking Girls e-book, which you can find in my sidebar. --->
For me, it's always hard to come up with the journaling. I have many pics that I adore, but never quite know what to say about them! Here I decided to use these pictures of Kati to focus on a physical attribute - her curls. First, I printed the title out in Photoshop onto white cardstock in the center, along with the journaling above it, leaving room in the bottom corner for the 2 photos.
Last, I wanted to add some dimension by stitching the "curls" onto the page, so I drew them out with a pencil first, then hand stitched along the lines.
Please check out the e-books, they are so much fun and have lots of ideas for journaling! There are many journaling prompts to get you started in the Scrapbooking Girls e-book!

I also wanted to announce the winner of the CREATE magazine. Congratulations goes to Susie! Please email me: dflanders71@hotmail.com with your mailing adress.
