Product pick...

Today I had "product pick" on the Pink Paislee blog, so I decided to feature the Daily Junque stamp set and show you a variety of ideas with this set.

There are so many things you can do with it, such as travel cards and scrapbook pages, days of the week pages, miss you cards, birthday cards...well, the possibilities are endless, really! Check out this gorgeous package. You get a TON of stamps!

My first card was inspired by the "top priority" saying and the numbers list. I stamped these two onto the Daily Junque - MAP patterned paper with red and blue ink. Don’t be afraid to stamp directly onto patterned paper! A patterned paper can add a lot more pizazz to your card than plain cardstock.

I added a balloon from the Daily Junque - Ephemera and some red cardstock stars that were punched with a Fiskars star punch. The red border is also a stamp from the Daily Junque stamps! I'll be using that one a lot today.

The "you" is cut from a Papertrey Ink die called Wonderful Words and is cut out of Soiree - Trellis paper.

Next, I made a "Miss You" card. I loved the little envelope in the stamp set, so I stamped it in red and cut it out, then tied it with Soiree Twine like a little package. I stamped the map twice onto the kraft paper and made a blue border - both with the Daily Junque stamps. The red check is a ribbon from my stash. The polkadot circle is a 2" circle punched from a Sweetness - Love Blooms paper. The resin stars are by Melissa Frances.

The third card I made is a little more colorful - great for a birthday. I stamped the border in different colors and used some alphabet stamps from my stash for the sentiment:  "it's your day". I was going to use the border lines as candles, but decided to turn them sideways and use them for journaling lines instead. You could certainly make candles out of them too! I stamped them onto white cardstock and cut them out, so I could rearrange them on my card as I was creating it.

The little yellow hearts are from the Sweetness Glitter Letters, and the teal paper is Daily Junque - Tickets paper.

And one more card today...

I couldn't resist using that little frame image in all different colors here...I used Papertrey Ink's Berry Sorbet (peach) and Hawaiian Shores ink (blue), and Jenni Bowlin's Lemon Drops ink (yellow). I used these same inks on the last card as well. Flower is Prima. I cut a piece of the Soiree - Wood Shapes and inked it up with Hawaiian Shores ink.

When I stamped the sentiment, I masked off the words as I went, so I could stamp one or two words in each box. On the inside, you could stamp, "it's your birthday".

timeless treasures and another card sketch...

I'm back with the third card sketch for Skipping Stones Design this week - am having a lot of fun doing these sketches! Hope you like them too. Here is the third sketch:

And this is what I came up with. I used Skipping Stones Designs' Timeless Treasures stamp set and stamped it twice in the background with Jenni Bowlin's Chewing Gum ink pad. Then I stamped the little purple flowers with Skipping Stones Designs' Dandelion Dreams stamp set.

The little "thoughtful" mini flash card is a new item by Melissa Frances, as are the resin bird and pink flowers. The bird is lightly brushed with brown chalk, so the dimension would show a bit more. I made the flower with Melissa Frances creme crepe paper.

lollipop bouquets...

All this month on the Jenni Bowlin blog, we are focusing on stamping! After playing around with the new Jenni Bowlin stamps, I decided to dress up some little lollipops with the stamped images and create a “bouquet”, a fun project for kids at a birthday party! Or they could be used as thank you gifts for the kids to take home, or for a display on a birthday table!

I started with Jenni Bowlin’s 3” x 3” Seal stamp that reminded me of a sunflower and used a Lemon Drops ink pad. It was stamped onto white cardstock and cut out. Then I snipped a little piece out of the image.

Next, I folded the two ends of the seal stamp together and attached with a Glue Dot. This creates a cone shape that will form around the lollipop better than a flat image. I poked a hole in the center where the lollipop will go.

Then I stamped the solid image of the 3” x 3” Blue Ribbon stamp onto white cardstock with Chewing Gum ink, and then topped it with the outline stamp in Cough Syrup ink. I cut it out and poked a hole near the center. I didn't use the tails of the Blue Ribbon, just the circle.

These two finished stamped images were layered together and a lollipop poked down through the hole. I cut the green polkadot leaves from a Family Tree paper and attached them under the lollipop flower.

If your lollipop is flat like the one below, you can adhere the yellow stamped flower underneath it and add a 3” x 3” Butterfly stamp like I did here over the top! I topped the butterfly with a Yellow Rhinestone Bow embellishment.

I used a $1 small wooden box from the craft store and wrapped it with red ribbon. The bottom is filled with foam to hold the lollipops. I cut an egg shaped foam in half that I had in my craft box and adhered it to the bottom. You will need to adhere the foam to the bottom with hot glue, because the lollipops are heavy and tend to want to fall over.

Now just poke the dressed-up lollies into the foam!

You can also cover the center of the stamped image with a 2” circle cut from patterned paper like this one.

If you use these for display on a table, you can punch some extra patterned paper circles to sprinkle on the table and add more stamped butterflies scattered around for an extra fun touch! Bend up the butterfly wings for dimension. I love the large size of the butterfly - perfect for a party decoration! These bouquets would be fun for kids to make at a party... and to make it quicker, you could have the images already stamped and cut out, then they would just put them together and poke them into the foam. I think they would be thrilled to take something like that home from a party!
