I made another sketch for the team to try this week - here it is:
I actually decided to stamp the shoes all along the edges instead of placing anything else along the edges. I was going to do paper strips on the edges, but I didn't want it to be too busy and compete with the shoes. I really wanted the shoes to be the show stopper! I sort of turned the sketch on it's side and made a paper bow inspired by the bow on the cute shoe stamp!
The paper bow was made with a technique by Heidi Swapp that I saw her do on HSN one day and just loved it! Just take a strip of paper and fold the ends together, adhere. Pinch it in the middle. Then you do another shorter one on top the same way. Layer these two together with the smaller one on top. Last, wrap a thicker piece of the same patterned paper around the center. Adhere it all together! I added twine around the middle of my bow.
Skipping Stones has a few deals this week: order three sets from Skipping Stones, get one free! Buy 6, get two free! Buy 9, get three free! Just enter "ONE FREE" at checkout.
The winner of the UPLIFTING stamp set from last week is Scarlett!
It was hard to choose fav stamp sets, they have a lot of good ones. I love the Uplifting, Dandelion Dreams, garden Stamp Kiss, Grunge...apparently I need to go shopping!
And the good news is that I have one more set to give away this week! I'm giving away the Heartsong stamp set. Just leave a comment, and I'll choose a winner soon!
