Button Boutique

Welcome to my very first Papertrey Ink group blog post!

I was so excited to receive my very first set of PTI products and was I ever wowed by it all, just truly in love, especially after playing with the new Button Boutique and Bitty Background Blocks stamp sets, as well as the new Buttoned Up dies!

When I first saw all of the button goodies, I immediately grabbed my spools and twine and wanted to create a little gift box and card with a baby theme. I found a large empty ribbon spool for the bottom piece, stamped the Bitty Backgrounds, trimmed them with pinking shears and then added them to the spool.

The middle piece is a small wooden box with a lid from the craft store. I am so into button strings lately, so I added lots of buttons and tied them in a string around the box (the yellow felt ones were cut with the new Buttoned Up Dies!).

Next, I stacked the large spool and box together, then worked on the lid...

I wrapped new Royal Velvet ribbon around the lid edge and stamped the "Quality Buttons" with the new Button Boutique stamp set right onto the lid! To top it off, I found some little wooden spools in my stash leftover from another project. I stamped the Bitty Background Blocks and cut them to fit the spools. The pink cardstock button was cut with the Buttoned Up Dies and a little banner stamped with the Button Boutique set.

Here is a close up peek at the card. I used a Smoky Shadow ink combined with Plum Pudding. I kind of like the mix of these colors against the white!

I hope it gives you some new ideas for your buttons!
