Check out the super cute peppermint candy stamps. I used Pure Poppy ink for the red and then filled in the center with a smaller stamp with Raspberry Fizz ink.
One of the little candies was punched out, then wrapped with cellophane!
Oh, did you see the rose colored cardstock? That is a new color called Autumn Rose.
Sweetest Christmas peppermint candy card:
Stamps: Candy Cane Christmas
Ink: Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, True Black
Paper: Autumn Rose cardstock, white cardstock, kraft cardstock - all by PTI
Dies: Candy Cane Christmas
Other: Photo Finish Strips (kraft strip)
----------
Next, we have a shaped card.
I used a new die with this called Mega Mat Stack 2.
I folded the cardstock to create a card base, then laid the die on top letting it hang off the left end just slightly, so as not to cut the left side of the card. (Step1.) Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug to cut the shape. (Step2.) This created a fold on the left side and gave me a shaped card using the die!
I used the smaller die that matches the large one called Layerz Mat Stack Die 2 with the blue cardstock and Hawaiian Shores ink. I stamped the circle, sentiment and small candy shapes next. I die cut the candy canes as well with the Candy Cane Christmas dies!
Stamps: Candy Cane Christmas
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy, True Black
Paper: kraft, Aqua Mist, white, Autumn Rose cardstock
Dies: Candy Cane Christmas, Mega Mat Stack 2, Layerz Mat Stack 2
Other: Twinery twine, Melissa Frances pearls.
----------
Here I used the little mug die and the candy cane and stick dies from Candy Cane Christmas!
The mug die is very cool - it actually has a slit on the top that you slide the candy into.
I stamped the red on the background paper first, then added the twine, then the die cut mug and candies over the top, and last the stamped "steam" was added. Texture is created without a lot of bulk!
Here is the cute little candy cane die...
...and the little mug die.
Sweetest Christmas coffee mug card:Stamps: Candy Cane Christmas
Ink: Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, True Black, Lavender Moon - all by PTI, and light pink by Jenni Bowlin called Chewing Gum
Paper: Autumn Rose cardstock by PTI, text patterned paper - Butterfly Garden by Pink Paislee, white cardstock
Dies: Candy Cane Christmas
Other: Twinery twine, corner rounder.
These would be fun to make for Christmas - just get an assembling line going-- cut, cut, cut...then stamp, stamp, stamp! Be sure to check out this set and all of the other new sets at Papertrey Ink on the 15th.

Danielle, these are awesome!! I didn't even click right away about the mega mat stack 2, but I really love your shaped card!
Love it all, but the cellophane wrapped peppermint is such an inspired touch!
that wrapped peppermint is adorable! the new color is so pretty...been waiting for a deep regal pink :)
Love that clear wrapped peppermint candy! So dang cute on that card! Heck, you could make a little garland of those. The pink mug card is sweet! Love the shaped card. I was thinking you could cut two lg mat stack 2's, then make it into a box of sorts. You coudl add a scored strip at the bottom of the inside to attach it together, then use brads to fasten the sides together. Viola ... you'd have a neat little container to put some "real" short, candy sticks in (or other candy.) I just love the inspiration the DT brings, and how it gets me thinkin, thinkin, thinkin! :)
Oh my word! Too cute! Love it!
I am in peppermint heaven. Love that you showed the dies and the steps! Love your cards! Love the new cardstock color! :)
The zig zag stitching on the left of your card caught my eye, it was just the perfect touch, with the candy cane stripes!
Really, really cute. Love the extra touch of the center for the peppermint disc. Great job. Thank you.
(BeverlyHBL I've been having trouble posting and it's not just your blog. Haven't figured out what's up.)
