Make It Monday video tutorial: Bringing the Inside Out...

Good morning. I hope you are all having a bright, sunny start to your day and are ready to break out your stamps and dies for the next Make It Monday challenge! I've got a new video up for you on "Bringing the Inside Out", which you can see HERE at Nichole's blog.

First, to decorate the outside of the card, I've used the new Make It Market Mini: Garden Guild stamp set.

Then to bring the inside of the card out to the front, a circle is die cut through the front of the card with the Limitless Layers 2.5" Circle die collection. The Scripted stamps and dies were used for the sentiment and a flower from Quilted: Summer added to the inside.
Using this technique of die cutting a peek-a-boo window and decorating the inside with a pop of color allows you to add some much needed color to an otherwise boring inside of the card! And you still get the enjoy the pop of color on the outside as well...two for one! Another month has passed. Where does the time go?! It's time again for release day, when the Papertrey Ink team gets to share the rest of the projects they've made with all of the June goodies coming out on June 15th!

First is the Still Life: Summer mini kit...papers, stamps, dies, etc. Made a card and a quick set of tags! The little cherries are die cut and stamped with the stamp set.

The background is just watercolored with some of the matching inks, then I added a Scripted die cut sentiment over the top.

Big Balloon Ideas...

We're back with another group blog post with more new birthday goodies coming out at Papertrey Ink on June 15th! On this card, I've used a new die collection called Shaker Shapes: Balloon and also Balloon Strings dies. I didn't turn it into a shaker, I just simply used the little shaker pieces and glued a few on for a flatter card.

I've used the star stamp from Good Times in the corners, and the sentiment stamp from Hooray. 

The adorable papers are from the new Hooray paper pad!

More Birthday Inspiration...

We are back with another countdown post for Papertrey Ink to show you some sneak peeks of the new products coming out on June 15th! Today's blog hop is all about birthdays. We were to choose an inspiration piece, so here is what I found. Love the colors with the gold!

First, I created a card inspired by the color palette in the photo above and used a new stamp set called Good Times to stamp the dots. I used the new Bloomers stamps and dies to add the flowers. And the tiny leaves are from Stacked Sentiments, all coming out June 15th.

The Celebrate word is cut from gold adhesive cardstock by PTI.

Inspiration By the Sea...

Welcome back PTI friends! I'm happy to be back this month to show you a few new products coming out this month on June 15th at Papertrey Ink. First up, we have a new stamp set and dies called Guiding Light, which I used on the lighthouse and for the sentiment.

The background was cut with a new Cover Plate called Waves. I cut two of these, one from Aqua Mist cardstock and one from Hawaiian Shores cardstock to create different wave colors and add a little bit more interest in the background. I just removed some of the Aqua Mist waves and replaced them with Hawaiian Shores waves.

Here is the inside of the card.

I used a new stamp set called Ahoy (waves) and one called Light of Life (sentiment).

On the next card, I used the Ahoy stamp set and dies. And for the "Many blessings" sentiment, I used the new Scripted dies. Wouldn't this be darling for the birth of a baby boy?

The background was made by tapping ink pads onto a stamping block and spritzing the block with water...then "stamping" the block onto the paper. Love how it adds color and interest to the background instead of a plain white background.
